Now that K. and I have been married for a little over 2 weeks, I wanted to highlight the vendors that were the magic behind making our day as seamless as possible.
Venue:
Walden Hall is a bed & breakfast created by the owners of Bald Top Brewing Co. They opened the B&B with the specific plans to turn the property into a wedding venue, and they hit it out of the park. Booking our wedding with them guaranteed a full uninterrupted weekend at the property. We had 5 guest bedrooms (1 of which was the GORGEOUS bridal suite) that we split between our parents and the bridal party. There is a saltwater pool onsite with outdoor kitchen, which is where we held our pool party rehearsal dinner. The grounds themselves include a side garden perfect for photos, a pond stocked with fish that provides the perfect backdrop for a lawn ceremony, and a spacious event barn decorated with twinkling tea lights and reclaimed wood. Eric, the innkeeper, and Lindsay, Walden Hall’s event coordinator, were a tremendous help all weekend with getting everything set up and making sure everything was running smoothly. Not gonna lie, the endless supply of fresh baked cookies were clutch!

Flowers:
The flowers were one of my favorite pieces from the day. I gave my florist an overall view of what I wanted – blues, whites, greens, dahlias – and just let her run wild! Erika Warner from Snake Oak Farm is a chiropractor, a florist, a farmer, a potter, a mother, an artist, and one of the best friends I know. This was the first wedding she did, and OMG the flowers were gorgeous! On top of creating all the floral genius for the day, she was also one of my bridesmaids (multitasker like crazy).

Coordinator:
Walden Hall requires a day-of-planner for any wedding with over 75 guests. I took it a step further and hired a coordinator to come in a month out from the wedding and handle all the vending contracts and the day-to-day details. It was a huge sigh of relief to know that I could focus on myself and getting ready to celebrate my marriage to K and not worry about anything else. Alyssa and Taylor from the Posey Detail were incredible in making everything run smoothly behind the scenes. Plus after being recommended to me by a close friend AND our photographer, I knew the Posey Detail would handle everything perfectly.

Photography:
I LOVE photography so of course our wedding photos would be incredibly important to me. Luckily, I had a sweet connection to one of the best and nicest photographers in Virginia. Michelle is so amazingly talented and I love all the photos she captured of our day. Bonus, she includes a free engagement session in all her packages because she views it as a way to get to know her couples before the big day. We had so much fun with Michelle and her second-shooter Adrienne, and their talent is so worth it.
